| Local Fun Day an Exceptional Success! |
|
Local electronics manufacturer Exception has hailed its annual summer Fun Day a success after 400 staff and their families enjoyed a day of traditional sport activities, games and entertainment. The Fun Day, now in its third year, was held at the Royal Agricultural College near Cirencester, mid-way between the company’s two sites in Calne and Tewkesbury. Staff of Exception enjoyed a variety of activities including the semi-finals and final of the company five-a-side competition, cricket, dodgeball and the very popular rounders contest. The day also featured some traditional ‘sports day’ activities for children and adults, such as the sack, egg & spoon, three-legged and space-hopper racing and tug-of-war. There was plenty to keep the kids occupied too, with a dedicated children’s area featuring a bouncy castle and assault course, as well as face painting, a circus workshop, sand and ball pits and skittles. Craig Wright, chief executive of Exception, said: “Our Fun Day provides a great day out for our staff and their families and has been a fantastic success for the third year running. We have over 450 staff at our sites in Tewksbury and Calne and the Fun Day provides an opportunity for the staff to get to know each other better and for us to say ‘thank you’ for their help in achieving a successful year. We’re now looking forward to our next social event!” Ends |
