| Local company kits out Calne youngsters |

AFC CALNE'S under 13s have received a welcome boost from local contract electronics manufacturer Exception Group.
The company - which produces market-leading, high tech printed circuit boards at its facility in Calne - is one of the area's largest employers, with 450 staff across two sites in Calne and one in Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire. Exception is backing local grassroots sport with a two-year sponsorship deal to supply the team, which plays in the Wiltshire Times and Chippenham News Mid-Wilts Youth and Minor League, with full match kit and training gear. Richard Brighton, managing director of Exception EMS, said: "We are delighted to get behind our local team. Whilst our products end up all over the world, our roots are very firmly in Calne and our ties with the community are extremely important to us. We would like to wish the lads all the best from everybody here at Exception and we're all looking forward to watching them succeed in their league over the next two years. Who knows - there could be a future England captain in this team?" |
