EO Business Strengthens Global Connections

Leading electronics outsourcing company Exception VAR has cemented its worldwide business connections by accepting a life size Terracotta Warrior as a ‘thank you’ gift from one of its international suppliers.

The imposing 6ft, 120 kilo Terracotta Warrior stands proud in Exception’s reception at its head office in Calne, Wiltshire.  The outsourcing specialist, and one of Europe’s leading offshore electronics company, works with UK and EU electronic businesses acting as a gateway to engage with manufacturers of low-cost, high-volume printed circuit boards. Exception was presented with the unusual gift by Uniserve, which acts as its supply chain provider across the globe.

Managing director of Exception VAR, Howard Goff, said: “Our unique, global structure positions us at the forefront of the industry and as a total solutions PCB provider. Our manufacturing partners are located around the world and so having the right logistics in place is integral to our business. Uniserve is an acclaimed freight forwarder and provides us and our customers with a market leading service. We are honoured to receive this very special and symbolic gift. We look forward to continuing to work with them in the future.”

Leighton Bonnet, managing director of Uniserve presented Exception with the gift and said “The original Terracotta Warriors were created by the first Emperor of China, who had over 8000 life-size clay warriors protecting his tomb. These life-size terracotta copies are from the Xian province of China, the same place the warriors were first unearthed in 1974. We chose this gift to symbolise their connections and our business activity in China and to thank them for their continued business and support.”
