eXception delivers CEM on your terms
As the South West of the UK emerges to become the next technology hotspot, eXception's CEM operation provides a Tier One level service to blue chip clients. With international partnerships facilitating a planned transition of high volume to offshore Contract Electronic Manufacturing (CEM) when required.
With an electronics manufacturing heritage that stretches back over 60 years, our culture takes an end to end Supply Chain perspective across the Product Life Cycle, providing applied technical design and development services at key stages from Product concept through to end of life, always with a firm eye on quality and cost. Our production capabilities centre on the assembly and test of complex Printed Circuit Assemblies (PCAs), including full box build and test solutions. More recently, our innovative Fastrack offering has established new industry standards in quickturn deliverables for the very highest customer service and technology standard of PCA solutions. Our expertise encompasses a comprehensive range of specialised CEM skills, taking in design for test (DfT) and design for manufacture (DfM), as well as through product testing, procurement and equipment screening.
Our test development team has established a reputation as leaders in the test arena, with a series of firsts including being the first Contract Electronics Manufacturer in the UK to incorporate GOEPEL electronic JTAG/Boundary Scan technology into a Teradyne Test station, where the team designed bespoke interface cards and created advanced applications to handle high volumes of I/O and block functional tests.
We provide customised and dedicated manufacturing cells for some of the world’s leading manufacturers in a range of demanding markets, providing complex PCAs engineered to the highest technical standards.
"eXception’s extensive test facility is a key aspect of their added-value service which encouraged us to completely outsource the manufacture of the AWS 900+."
